Take a representative sportsman or woman, they typically train before or after school while managing a normal school workload. They learn teamwork, time management, how to take care of their diet, and develop lifelong skills like motivation and drive, not to mention goal setting.
So what do you do with a teen who hates team sport and would rather sit on the couch and play X-Box?
If you think CrossFit Teenz is just a scaled-down version of CrossFit, think again. CrossFit Teenz is entirely and absolutely geared and designed for teenagers and their specific developmental needs.
Since late 2004 CrossFit Teenz has been forging the future of fitness for young people and is offered in more than 600 gyms in North America, Australia, Europe, Africa, India, Japan and Panama.
CrossFit Teenz is a strength and conditioning class designed exclusively for teenagers aged between 14 and 17-years-old. It is popular for teens who want to train harder, improve in their specific sport, or be challenged further both physically and mentally. It also suits those who aren’t partial to regular sports but need to lose weight or stay focused.
In a group setting, teens participate in positive, fun and engaging workouts that deliver measurable results and prepare them to be well-rounded athletes and much nicer teens at home as well as develop a life-long love of fitness. The workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements which deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive, general and scalable for any participant at any level.
For a start no two workouts are the same. That immediately eliminates the boredom factor. The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that teens do when they play sport, or muck around in the playground - pulling, pushing, running, throwing, climbing, lifting and jumping.
