Is a strength and conditioning program consisting mainly of a mix of aerobic exercise, gymnastics (body weight exercises), and weightlifting (power and olympic). It can be best described as constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity across different times and workout formats. A class runs for 1hr and typically includes a warm up, strength or skill segment, then the WOD “Workout of the day” and finishes off with a cool down stretch. The goal of CrossFit is to improve the 10 aspects of a person’s fitness, these aspect are as follows: cardiovascular & respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, co-ordination, agility, balance and accuracy.
Skills sessions are an opportunity to go through any skills or movements you might be struggling with. There is no WOD or time element to these sessions. This means that all movements can be focused on while fresh, which in turn will create the correct movement patterns for the respective exercises. Whether you are a new crossfitter or competing in comps the Skills Sessions are a must to help you stay injury free and at the top of your game!

Great! You are more than welcome to workout with us, all we ask is that prior to participating in the WOD you must show the Crossfit Coach that you are competent in the "Crossfit Fundamental Movements" for that WOD.
If you are joining the CrossFit Conditioning Team on a permanent basis as a new member or from another Crossfit Box you will be required to complete the CrossFit Fundamentals program or complete a Competency evaluation with one of our Coaches.
